Financial Literacy
In an ongoing effort to help improve the financial condition of people throughout the state, the Georgia Society of CPAs provides a variety of resources and contacts for its members and consumers. The Society has also joined with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) to promote the 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy Program.
Financial Calculators
Can I afford a new car? Should I refinance my home loan? Consumers can get the answers to these and many other important financial questions when they use the financial calculators provided. While these tools are not a substitute for financial advice from a qualified professional, they can be used as a starting point to help in the decision making process. Contact a local CPA for a more in-depth analysis to your financial situation.
2008 Tax Guide for Legislators
The Tax Guide for Georgia Legislators, prepared by the Georgia Society of CPAs, provides information to assist legislators in the preparation of various income tax returns. Although this guide is an excellent reference tool, it is not meant to be used as the sole basis for making final decisions regarding each particular tax situation.
